I faithfully tune in to State of the Culture each Monday! I absolutely love this show, and all their view points on various subjects on the culture. This week, they open up with a discussion about The Last Dance documentary on Michael Jordan. I have been tuning in, and it really has inspired me. There's a reason why he was so successful. Unfortunately, people don't agree with his tactics to achieve success, but I can learn from his spirit of winning no matter what and his discipline for his craft.
I love how honest Jada Pinkett Smith is!! This interview with Jay Shetty is so good. It's amazing to see how well she understands herself and why she is the way she is based on her past. I think there's so much we can learn from this simple conversation. Often times we don't look at ourselves in an analytical way. We just go through life doing what we do. Things may come up that are problematic, and we work on them, but how often do we actually get down to the root of that particular issue? We are always evolving, and we have all been influenced by the environment we had no choice to grow up in. I think that taking a deeper look into why we are the way we are, and accepting that we may not actually be a certain way. We may be imitating what we became a witness too. This is the time to unpack our baggage, so we can come out of this unprecedented time a better version of ourselves!
I'm no baby mama, but I love this new song by Brandy! I think it's more so the visual that caught my eye with this. I'm used to seeing Brandy with earth-tones and on a more soulful vibe. I like when she brought us some upbeat R&B. I absolutely love the bright color scheme in this video, and the dancing! Brandy is a great performer, and is so underrated.
