My favorite songs from this project is "Trigged," "None of Your Concern," "B.S." and "Surrender." Her songwriting is so vulnerable and raw. It's almost shocking to hear some of the ways she chooses to portray things, but she's staying true to herself. I absolutely love hearing her voice and H.E.R.'s on the same record!
On March 6th Jhene Aiko released her fourth studio album titled, Chilombo. The name comes from her actual last name. I've been hearing her singles from this album constantly on my google home, and I made it a point to go listen to the whole album. It was so good. The vibe went from heartbreaking love songs to of self love and freedom. There were a variety of sounds, which I think show'd her versatility. She went from a climax of emotions to an airy, light sound. She used her singing bowls in several records, which was intentional to set a certain vibration for the tracks.

I used to stress myself out! I used to complain more than I currently do. I used to allow my negative thoughts get to me. For years now, I have been practicing positive thinking and optimism. I have been mindful of the things I give life, just by speaking them. I love this video, because Trevor Moawad gives some great examples of how negative and positive thinking can change the trajectory of someone's life. He also provides some tips on starting the journey!
